The Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington is hiring teaching-track faculty members at the ranks of Lecturer and Senior Lecturer! All areas of expertise are welcome as we continue to grow and expand. Applicants with either a Ph.D. or a Masters are encouraged to apply:
Teaching faculty members are fully integrated into our school’s culture of collaboration, mutual respect, and quality teaching. The school is dedicated to the development of its teaching faculty members by providing flexibility and opportunities to grow professionally.
Exciting CSE developments: • Our community of CSE teaching-track faculty members has grown to 10. • Our revised admissions process opens up opportunities for improving our curriculum, programs, events, and resources to better serve our changing student population. • We recently appointed a new director as well as created the position of Associate Director for Diversity and Inclusion.
Location perks (University of Washington, Seattle): • Access to an outstanding community of computing education researchers and practitioners on campus. • Access to a vibrant local CS education community (e.g., ComputingEd@UW, Sound CS Ed, TEALS, Code.org) • Excellent support in the form of our award-winning advising team, lab support, teaching assistants (~20:1 student-to-TA ratio), and other campus resources (e.g. teaching, disabilities, classrooms). • Access to numerous outreach opportunities. • Strong industry connections with tech companies such as Code.org, Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing, Facebook, Google, Twitter, Apple, and thousands of startups. • Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
I’d be happy to answer any further questions that you may have!
