Remote Python Developer

We are seeking a talented and self-motivated R&D Python Developer with expertise in machine vision to join our remote team. This position is not for a data scientist, but rather a skilled professional with a deep understanding of Python and experience in implementing computer vision models like Yolo 5 (ONNX) and working with PyTorch. As a remote developer, you will be responsible for researching, finding relevant documentation, and implementing existing code or algorithms to meet specific customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize your Python proficiency to modify existing code and develop new solutions to meet customer needs.
• Conduct thorough research, leveraging documentation and code repositories, to implement machine vision algorithms.
• Collaborate with the R&D team remotely to enhance the performance and functionality of our machine vision software.
• Label objects in images for machine learning training purposes.
• Work with hardware components such as machine vision cameras (e.g., FLIR Blackfly, Allied Vision, Lucid) and serial devices (USB to Relay).
• Ensure compatibility and integration with IoT Edge platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Develop Docker containers for efficient deployment and management of applications.
• Demonstrate a fair understanding of Linux and asynchronous coding.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in Python development for R&D purposes.
• Proficiency in implementing computer vision models like Yolo 5 (ONNX) and working with PyTorch.
• Familiarity with CV2, Pillow, NumPy, Flask, and asynchronous coding.
• Knowledge of machine vision cameras, such as FLIR Blackfly, Allied Vision, and Lucid.
• Experience with Flir Thermal cameras would be a plus.
• Understanding of IoT Edge platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to work with Docker containers for application deployment.
• Basic knowledge of Linux systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies and challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote work.
