Do you work in a community garden? Are you interested in interviewing other gardeners to preserve your community garden's memory? Join PHS McLean Library staff Thursday 8/12 at 6:00 PM for a free one-hour crash course in conducting oral histories to preserve your garden’s stories: https://phsonline.org/events/oral-histories-for-community-gardens. If you can’t make it, don’t fret, because the workshop will repeat on 9/9 and 10/14.

Additionally, do you know any gardeners with stories to tell about your garden? PHS is conducting oral history interviews with community gardeners to share their stories through archives such Smithsonian Community of Gardens website. Reach out to Joe Makuc at jma...@pennhort.org with any suggestions for oral history narrators from your garden.

Email Joe Makuc at jma...@pennhort.org with any questions about the workshop, or if you would like to suggest potential oral history narrators!

Best,
