I used to watch ABC every day, and its been off for quite some time now.  Why?
Please fix it if you can and if you can't please explain what is going on.

Thanks.

The problem with the ABC channel  is not the fault of the team at Puffer.   The ABC station in San Francisco, KGO, broadcasts a very weak signal to the area where the Stanford campus is located.  KGO is owned and operated by Disney ABC.  The company is notorious for under-powering their O&O signals.  To learn more about this problem, you may watch this YouTube Video.  The presenter believes that ABC has failed their viewers with this money saving strategy.     https://youtu.be/01pgKPoQdKc?si=Qc_gDcitUmabo5py

I watch OTA KGO (ABC) on my standalone TV and have no reception issues. I do have two OTA KGO (ABC) on my TV which both are 7.1 Maybe Puffer can switch to the secondary 7.1 signal. Why all of a sudden is OTA KGO (ABC) an issue when it's been fine for so long?

I frequent the Stanford campus regularly and will test the KGO signal via other means than Puffer to validate what you are saying is true. My physical location using OTA KGO is 9.1 miles.

However, I find your response rather condescending to say the least.

Best regards.

Mabel,
I doubt you are in the exact same location as the Stanford campus and I doubt you are using the same model of antennae that Puffer uses.  Just because you don't have reception problems establishes little of worth.  No one is claiming every KGO viewer in the Bay Area has difficulty.    Additionally, since the inception of the Puffer project, there has been intermittent reception problems with two channels (one of which has been KGO).  Did you get a chance to watch the referenced YouTube video explaining the problem?  Television engineers frequently make adjustments to the signals which may improve reception to certain pockets of the Bay Area while hindering others.  It is a balancing act made more difficult by the ABC owned & operated station doing this on the cheap.

Mabel makes a good point.  Possibly the antenna may need to be adjusted to optimize reception of this under-powered signal.  Maybe even a stronger antenna may do the trick.  The author of the Youtube video referenced can advise the best antenna for Stanford's location based on its distance to this ABC owned and operated station broadcasting on the VHF frequency.
