Makal with Jeff

I wanted a good friend to accompany me to Makal. I have been there, aware that this is a huge step upward in Mexican cuisine, a nouveau treatment. Menu varies as does a nightly special tasting menu featuring many courses. We found an appetizer and an entrée filled us up so we decided to skip the tempting dessert choices. They also make special cocktails, with or without alcohol. We were greeted with a pumpkin soup amusé-bouche. Jeff started with butternut almond risotto and I three marlin pork belly empanadas. There were several main course options and we enjoyed almond and sausage octopus plus ginger coconut mahi mahi. Each dish was outstanding as before. This is a Special Occasion Destination, a great addition for Zona Romántica.
