This is a kind reminder that Pub PR's next event will be on Thursday
11th December to discuss “Understanding social media in a time of
crisis – why blogs don’t really matter, but why you do.”

A hot topic in communications is the use of blogs, BBS and other
social media. This is a new and developing area in the world of
communications that is often poorly defined and misunderstood. Our
speaker this time, Zaheer Nooruddin (Zed), is the head of Edelman
Digital, international PR agency Edelman’s Digital practice. He will
help us understand myths, changes and developments in this exciting
area. His goal is to make this session a collaborative one, in keeping
with his area of expertise.

Zed comes to us with an extensive communications background. Prior to
joining Edelman in Beijing to lead its Digital Practice, he did a
short stint at OgilvyOne, Proximity BBDO (Omnicom) and at Wunderman/
Young & Rubicam in Dubai. He also spent two years with the Tata Group
in India. He began his career in communications at a multi-media
publishing company in New York City after graduating with a double
major in Political Science & History, and a minor in Philosophy. He
has the dubious distinction of being mugged and held at gun-point by
the police in the same month, as well as being detained with
questionable substances at an international border. Zed has travelled
extensively, was educated in India and the US, and was born in Mumbai.
His professional roles have encompassed the disciplines of 360
Integrated Marketing, Advertising, CRM, DM and Digital.

Our venue will come with free snack food and will give us a 50%
discount on most wines, spirits, local beer and soft drinks until
9pm!
