Wednesday, May 27, 7:00-8:30pm at Oriental Plaza featuring Mr.Subinay
Nandy, China Country Director, United Nations Development Programme
(UNDP), in discussion with Cheung Kong GSB professors, on the topic of
corporate social responsibility (CSR). They will share insights and
experience on policy and practice on CSR in China.

The global financial crisis and the devastating earthquake in Sichuan
last year have raised many questions and challenges for Chinese
business leaders: what does CSR truly mean? How can business leaders
be socially responsible under the difficult circumstances of the
global economic downturn? How can they balance employees' rights and
stockholders’ needs?
Cheung Kong GSB Dean Xiang Bing is pleased to chair a dialogue on
current CSR challenges in China moderated by Associate Dean Teng
Bingsheng. The China Country Director of the UNDP, Subinay Nandy,
Ph.D., will examine the topic in conversation with Cheung Kong MBA
alumni, who have undertaken CSR initiatives while studying at Cheung
Kong GSB and following graduation.
