Pub PR is back!

We’ll be meeting next Tuesday 5th August at our new, luxury venue that
will provide free wine and food!

Many of you have mentioned Obama, McCain and the American Presidential
election in earlier meetings. In the communications industry here in
China we can learn from the sophisticated ways in which media and new
media is being used in this campaign. Obama’s massive fundraising
success using Facebook is just one example that could prompt ideas in
China.

This month our speaker will talk on these issues. His topic is: ‘US
elections and communications techniques applicable to China’. Our
speaker, Brad Jaffe, is a former Director of Strategy to a senior US
senator for whom he worked for eight years, and is now a Vice
President at Weber Shandwick.

His talk will outline the communications techniques that are used in
the world of American politics, how they provide ideas for China, and
also how the practice of communications in China can provide lessons
for the US.

As to our venue, we are very grateful to have a brand new location at
Mix Bar of the new Westin Beijing Chaoyang which will provide free
wine and snacks for all who come.

Time: from 7:15 pm Tuesday 5 August, talk to start at about 8:00

Address: Mix Bar, Westin Beijing Chaoyang, No.1 Xinyuan Nan Road;
金茂北京威斯汀大饭店,北京朝阳区新源南路 1 号
Tel: 5922 8888

Directions: At the corner of Yansha Bridge, just across from Kunlun
Hotel and diagonally from Yansha Shopping Mall.
Any questions please call Mark on 13911605197, Vanessa on 1380 117
5750, or Ivana on 13911788624.
We look forward to seeing you there!

All- pls note that the hotel will have security checks tonight
(similar to securing check at the airports), at the entrance to the
lobby. This is for their VIP guest purposes and safety, and we
appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Just wanted to alert you, so you won't be surprised if asked to go
through the check.

Thanks for understanding and see ya at Pub PR tonight!

Ivana
