Our topic for the evening will be: ‘Media reporting of the Olympic
torch relay: a Chinese view’.
It is our great pleasure to welcome Charles Shen as our speaker for
this exciting topic. Charles Shen is one of China's most recognizable
PR professionals with over 20 years PR and marketing experience. This
has ranged from in-house roles at HP and Intel, to senior consultancy
experience at Weber Shandwick and Edelman. As a high-profile
communications professional he is a sort-after speaker at industry
events and makes frequent contributions to communications industry
magazines.
Charles will provide his personal view on how Chinese view recent
events and discussion surrounding the Olympic torch relay overseas. He
will draw on his extensive experience in media relations and crisis
communications to outline how companies can respond if they are
targeted by media in this kind of situation.
The location is our usual venue, in the upstairs room of the new
Nanjie Bar, in between the old Browns and the Bookworm, opposite the
Banana Leaf.
