Pub PR is meeting again next Tuesday 4th November at Mix Bar in the
new Westin Chaoyang!
This time we will be hearing about the role played by an important
stakeholder to most international companies in China - the chambers of
commerce. We are very lucky to have as our speaker, Adam Dunnett,
Senior Business Manager at the European Union Chamber of Commerce in
China, who will talk on "The Role of Chambers of Commerce:
Perspectives from the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China".
In his talk he will discuss the ways in which chambers of commerce act
as an information platform and communications channel between Chinese
and foreign governments, business associations, and media. Of all the
chambers of commerce in China, the European Union Chamber is probably
the most active, and plays a major role representing the interests of
foreign companies in China.
Adam Dunnett is extremely well placed to talk on these issues. He is
the head of the European Union Chamber's Government Affairs Department
and is responsible for leading the production of the Chamber's annual
Position Paper and overseeing the management of the Chamber's Working
Groups and Forums. Adam will also bring a multi-national perspective
to his talk. As the holder of joint British and Canadian citizenship,
he formerly worked at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing and in Canada's
Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in Ottawa.
Venue: Mix Bar at the new Westin Beijing Chaoyang. This location
proved extremely popular last time (with a record turnout) so we hope
to repeat our success!
