Just forwarding a call for entries for a local film festival that I am
involved with, since we're looking for filmmakers from New England to
submit their films/participate. Please feel free to get in touch if
you have any questions, as well as forward this on to any other
filmmakers or groups who may be interested.

Women, Action and the Media Film Festival Call for Entries
The WAM!Boston (Women, Action, and the Media) Film Festival looks to
showcase and celebrate the latest films by up and coming
female-identified filmmakers.
We’re seeking both short and feature-length films in all genres for a
one-day film festival, focusing on films by and about women. The
festival will be held on March 26 or 27 2011, venue to be announced.
All subjects are welcome – drama, comedy, documentary, experimental –
the sky’s the limit! We only ask that your submission does meet the
following criteria:
1) Film must be directed or produced by a female-identified filmmaker
2) The story/topic of the film should feature women, or be about an
issue of concern to women
3) The film was released after 2007 (in order to highlight current works)
In order to maintain a regional focus and create dialogue, we will
also give extra points to filmmakers who can attend the screening (or
send someone integral to the film) to discuss their film.
If you would like to submit a film to the festival, please mail a DVD
copy of the film, along with the downloadable form at the link below
to: WAM!Boston / 7 Temple Street / Cambridge, MA 02139
Download the entry form on WAM's website here:
http://www.womenactionmedia.org/events/boston/
Deadline for submissions is Friday, January 7. If your film is
selected for the festival, you will be notified by Friday, February 4.
Good luck!
