Hey Ya'll,
There are 4 colors of little sticky dots, and we have heard feedback
from our volunteer manager here at WGBH that it would be wise/
pragmatic in a group of this size to use one to identify people who
know their way around WGBH well enough to help orient a slightly lost
person, I want to use the other 3 to facilitate matchmaking. Can you
take a look at my proposed categories here and give feedback? I wanted
to make distinction between job seekers and gig seekers because I know
there are a lot of folks (like myself!) who are employed but don't
really get a chance to do the kind of work that they are best at on
their jobs or don't make enough on their jobs to quite live on, so
also freelance. Also, wanted to broaden the category of people looking
to work with others in a way that includes people who are sort of
starting up start ups or meetups or whatever. Let's assume that people
can wear more than one color, and also that these dots are meant to
start conversations rather than that they are literal equivalents....
Thanks for thoughts...

Name Tag Color Code Key
color 1=I am a WGBH employee or have spent enough time here enough to
know my way around. Please ask me for help if you are having trouble
finding your way around!
color 2=I am very actively looking for a job. Tell me if you are
hiring people and look up my resume and/or ask me about my skillset if
you are!
color 3=I freelance or consult (and thus am always looking for a job!)
Look up my resume and/or ask me about my skillset!
color 4=I am here representing a company or project that needs paid or
volunteer help. I am looking for people to work with on it. Ask me
about what our needs are and how you can help!

feel free to hack the color coding and add a few colors that are not
included among whatever the 4 are....should achieve the effect that
you're describing here jason, and i'm happy to join you in the color
hack...perhaps i'll be wearing yellow...

What about making the four the same categories people registered under (e.g. Staff, Geek, Enthusiast, etc), and having WBUR folks asterix their name label?
