Hi folks,

The session notes from my PubMediaCamp Boston sessions "Will Public
Media 2.0 Help Grow Community Media?" are now live on our wiki page at
http://wiki.publicmediacamp.org/PubCampBostonSessionNotes/.

They can also be downloaded in pdf form at
http://wiki.publicmediacamp.org/f/Pramas%20on%20Public%20Media%202.0%20PubCampBoston%20session%20notes.pdf/

Since the outcome of the session was that we'd like to start a
discussion group and meetup for people interested in networking about
advocacy to expand the mandate and funding of public media (defined as
including community media), I'd like to get a message out to our
eventbrite registrants. Maybe Chris or Noah can help me do that. We've
already got 15 people signed up for such a group, but I think it's
important to open participation up to all attendees.

Cheers,

Jason
OMB

I’ve taken a first stab at a note to participants at the bottom of the google doc <https://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0ASi_614JZyMEZHJoZHByZl8xZjcyMmt6Zjk&hl=en>. Feel free to edit + revise, I hope we can send it out by Wednesday..

Chris

Cool, but I'd like to see invitations to join new networks coming out of
sessions like Heather's and mine to have their own section in the
letter. OK with everyone?

It's okay with me.... I think we need a section in the letter to
introduce those "new networks" and their participation links (like
Jason and Heather's) . Everyone (especially session leaders) should be
encouraged to continue the conversation at pubcamp and start to
organize the networks. Again, I will double check with our business
manager to see whether we have the budget money left over from this
event to fund a meetup.com group....

it would be great if we had a pubmediabos meetup group ... if network
organizers have posting privileges that would make it easy to organize
different types of meetup, plus we'd all have a central place to keep
track of projects that spinoff from the effort ...

also, have a great vacation, Noah ...
