Alpha Status Report #1 (week Jan 8 to Jan 15 2010)

Hello!

This is the first status report since we've opened and announced the alpha phase of the project last week. Here is a summary of what happened in this past week:

• The reception was nice with good feedback from twitter [1] [2] [3] and mailing lists [4]. Thanks everyone!
• We are still uploading more clips as we speak, since last week it was added at least 480 new clips to the pool, which brings us to the mark of 1462 totally free footage, and counting…
• Other than that, the development was mostly bug fixes: the website looks fine in Opera now and small glitches were fixed as well, you can follow the commit history on github [5] 
• The project is also having some progress on the design front as you can see by the logo tests we've playing with [6]. Thanks Mauricio!
• And it is now possible to browse all clips from the clip sets index page [7] if you prefer instead of the random home page and search.

Attached are 2 screenshots as well, one for the latest commits and one with the current browsers and countries pie charts for the month of January so far :)

As aways feel free to ask us anything, comment, suggest improvements and send bug fixes.
