Hi,
I've just noticed that the ccTLD and SLD's for ZA is not accurate. Our ZADNA ( South African Domain Name Authority) is not always clue-full. What "permissions" (authority) do I need to do in order to correctly update the PSL?
For example, agric.za and grondar.za (no longer exists) are simply normal names (I used to run olivetti.za) and the SLDs of tm.za and ngo.za have not existed for a while.

Who am I?: I also asked for an exemption for nic.za via Joe Abley years ago - as it was a stand-alone domain name with (SSL) website, which I was (past tense) building for ZADNA. I also personally manage the two SLDs of alt.za and edu.za. and am part of the ICANN DNSSEC & Security workshop planning committee, so have been around.

I'd also appreciate joining the psl-discuss mailing list.

Hi Mark!

The preferred way is for the website listed on https://www.iana.org/domains/root/db/za.html to provide a list on a page, which we can easily check. There actually is such a list https://www.zadna.org.za/nic-home although it is a bit confusing since it seems to include the legacy grondar.za but stating that it is a private domain.

If you think the list there is accurate you can just open a PR here: https://github.com/publicsuffix/list/pulls

If that list is not accurate, it would be best to get it updated.

Hi Mark -

I know of you and have crossed paths on mailing lists over time.

Our current entry review of the ccTLD namespace entries aside, we operate under a premise that the ccTLD administrator(s) are the appropriate party to self-review and direct on changes.

Often the PSL entries for ccTLDs have sat since their initial setup or since last update, which can be years between.

This list is mostly for discussions about the list and not really for maintaining entries, so here are some suggestions and there are two things for you to do.   One will require updating the PSL entry via creation of a pull-request process on GitHub at https://github.com/publicsuffix/list the second will be to drop a TXT record into the respecdtive zone for ALT.ZA and/or EDU.ZA to provide a validation connection proof, which would show the URL of the pull request, so that there is connective tissue between the requestor and the administrator on a given namespace.

Thank you,
Jothan
