A special invitation goes to you to attend but also to "table" at the 15th Annual Wisconsin Grassroots Network Festival planned for May 4, 2024, at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. Please pass this information on to others in your groups in addition to friends and neighbors and other interested people who might like to attend.
The FESTIVAL will have a fresh look this season and you
will have an opportunity to not only visit with others who are
tabling but also to learn about current issues facing Wisconsin.
The key is to make connections with many others who can help in
our efforts to improve living in our local, regional, state and
national surroundings.
Here is where to go to find out more information about the mission, the constitution, the purposes of our annual FESTIVAL, and the TABLING information and a LETTER you may find of great use to you and to all participants who are able to attend:
This website is NEW and each day and week and month between now and the FESTIVAL date, new things will be showing up for you to view including the speaker names, the breakout names and the bio of each presenter. In addition, you may find a musical selection, an explanation of a topic being presented, or just a fun comment that will make you laugh. We hope you will love this site and use it to obtain information for your benefit and for meeting new people and obtaining new ideas.
Again, the site is: www.wigrassrootsnetwork.com

Take a look at the website, but also view the lastest Frac Sand Sentinel(#468) for more information.
Another "renewable" natural gas plant seems headed to the
Cambrian Almena area in Barron County. The application is aimed at
the construction and operation of a wastewater treatment plan, a
digester with an emergency flare, and a biogas to renewable
natural gas plant for:

Please take a look at it and provide feedback on April 23 either in writing or virtually.

It is important that we protect and preserve the Great Lakes.
Lake Superior and Lake Michigan are a part of our boundaries in
Wisconsin and so our State, the United States and the Nation as
well as the World are impacted by decisions made by companies
and governmental officials at the local, regional, state and
national levels. Take a look at this report. I will be sending
additional information on Line 5 in the coming weeks ahead.

As we move into a new administration, what changes will occur nationally, regionally, locally with the new appointments?
Here is a story from the Wisconsin Examiner which might
give you a little insight into what might happen when January
rolls around. Frac sand mining, processing, and transload may
again blossom in full array. What can be done to protect the
rights of people and other life forms, and what can be done to
prevent climate changes and changes within our environment?
According to some local reports, there are early indicators of
rule changes beginning in some towns and counties in northern WI.

Alert to all regarding hydraulic fracturing. Information from House agenda.

As we all work together to resolve the many environmental and health issues that exist in our surroundings, increasingly pieces slip out of place and we face abundant pressure to put it back.
It is only though much work together we can achieve our aims for
a positive future for our earth and its many children
collectively. Metallic mining is a serious issue, and thank
goodness we still have some press releasing articles. Thanks to
WPR!! Read about it, think about it, and be assured I will try to
search out more information if it is of value. And if you find
something, please don't hesitate to share as well.
My best,

By the way, please plan for tabling at the Wisconsin
Grassroots Network Festival to be held May 10, 2025,
at McFarlane High School. You will have many chances to learn from
others and to share what you are skilled at doing. Check out the
website to learn more: www.wigrassrootsnetwork.net and please
sign up for a table or for attendance.
Happy Spring! Pat Popple 715-723-6398
The 16th annual Wisconsin Grassroots Festival will be here soon. Think about tabling; there are several tables left for this project and your support and the promise of distributing more information about your group and its purposes has real merit. Consider signing up for a table to share your proud accomplishments.
Obviously, Mother's Day is the following day, but maybe there is
a chance you can plan for something special after or before
Saturday's events. Help to make this event special.
Take a look at the poster and add the events to your calendar.
Please sign up for attendance at the website:

Secret chemicals: a special report created by requirements for
the fracking industry in Colorado. We now know more!
Pat Popple 715-723-6398
Enclosed is the report to the media(and public) regarding the
lack of non-compliance regarding state law in Colorado regarding
chemicals used in the hydraulic fracturing process. It is
important to the earlier report information sent regarding state
laws in that state. PFAS, a forever chemical(along with others) is
used in the industry. It is commonly being found in municipal and
private water wells in WI and elsewhere and dangerous to health
and environment.(3M/Dupont and others)

Line 5, that famous line that has dominated the discussions for
years, is still contentious and causing worry to Midwestern states
in the Great Lakes Region.
Read the article and take some actions. There are many concerns
about this line and many involved, but your involvement and
comments are critical. If you have some comments to add, I will be
happy to send them on to organizational leaders who can make use
of them.

Happy 4th of July to you.
Be safe, healthy, and strive to be helpful to others. Enjoy the day.

You will find this information of value as it applies to many
aspects of our existence as Americans. There are many cuts and
additions you will find of interest. Thanks to one of my west
coast contacts who provided this source for everyone's reference.

Greetings,
Attached is a valuable piece of information from NPR. The term
"Endangerment Finding" is new to me. However, the push to rid the
EPA of the term is on. You will want to read about it as it gives
permission and allows permitting of even greater numbers of
polluting industries.
Pat Popple 715-723-6398
Sunshine is a vital part of life. Today's article by Bill McKibben is so positive. The link is available for reading the report about solar energy and other self sustainable energy sources being made available to people across the world. Please take a look. You can't help feel impressed about the work going on now and in the past. There is great future for self sustainable energy and you can do a great deal to work toward that effort, not only at home but with local and state authorities.

Radioactive waste, with treatment, is dangerous and completely overlooked by the industry and permitting groups and without concern for all lifeforms. Listen to and read more about the problems faced by the people living in the areas affiliated with fracking, processing, transport, and burning of fossil fuels.

The attached items include information about Line 5 and the hearing plans, some of which have already begun. Your support is requested.
