Es posible instalar el ambiente de desarrollo de VFP 9 en Windows 8 y poder programar ahí?

Yo lo tengo funcionando a full en window 8 64 bits.

Lo único que he detectado es que cuando lo protejo con REFOX XI+ no lo puedo hacer con compresión

lo mismo pasa si le aplico el MOLEBOX, debo quitarle la compresión.

Siempre que lo comprimo tengo problemas, solo lo comento por si a alguien la pasa lo mismo.

que diferencia o dificultad puede surgir entre instalar o copiar el VFP9 en su posterior utilización '

La instalación genera algunos archivos adicionales en \Program files\common files\ (creo que se llama common files, archivos comunes en español) y en el \Windows\System o tal vez \Windows\System32.

Cuando realizas os parches de SP2 te darás cuenta de cuáles son esos otros dirs.

Pero te cuento que debido a que tuve que reformatear mi disco duro, y dado que había instalado VFP9 en el disco D:, después de todo el proceso puedo ejecutar VFP9 y funciona bien. Incluso la versión me dice 09.00.0000.7423 .

Debido a comentarios de hace algunos años, siempre tuve en mi mente la idea de que nuestro querido zorro no funcionaba en Windows 8 (o lo haría erráticamente).

Pero hace unos días el hijo mío que no es hincha del zorro (ni siquiera lo conoce, sólo programa en Lua, pero ya está haciendo pinitos en C# y en Python) me enseñó un documento donde se menciona que...

(( esta enumeración de casos las expongo para entender la idea ))

1. "las app 32 bits no tienen por qué no funcionar en 64 bits".
2. es evidente que "las app 64 bits no funcionan en 32 bits".
3. "una app funcionará mejor en 64 bits si está compilada a 64 bits".

4. "en 64 bits pueden funcionar aplicaciones de 32 y de 64 bits".
5. "en 32 bits sólo pueden funcionar aplicaciones de 32 bits".

Tengo instalado VFP9 en Win 8.1 64 bits sin problemas.

¿La instalación la ejecutas con derechos de Administrador?
