Hi All,

Just a quick update over a few MORE events that happened this weekend on the always-exciting block of Boston/Palmetto:

We are REALLY having a problem in this neighborhood - we had 2 more car break-ins last night.  My neighbor at 3461 Boston, had his car broken into (last year, he had his house burgled), and just around the corner on MacArthur, another car had a broken window this morning.  That's 5 break-ins in 3 days!!!

In addition, Saturday morning at 10:30 AM I saw 3 African-American teenage boys running up Palmetto from the direction of Farmer Joes.  They were wearing their hoodies tight around their faces and obviously running from something.  I saw one of them carrying a woman's purse as they rounded the corner and headed down Boston across 580.  If you know anyone who was mugged yesterday morning, I saw the rats who did it and called 911.

I'd really like to talk about what's happening and who we think is behind the vandalism and petty crimes.  As I walk the neighborhood I see things that I think should be discussed with the police.  I'd like this meeting to focus on neighborhood issues and what we think needs to be done to confront or resolve them.

If you feel the same way, then I look forward to seeing you at the meeting on Thursday night.  In the meantime, stay vigilant!
