Burglary Alert alert from the NCPC

Please forward this information on to your neighbors. A neighbor in the 3400 block of MONTANA and CHAMPION was burglarized this past Monday (7/20/09) between 8:45-10:30ish. They were able to break in through the doorknob/doors. They also cut/kicked through the neighbors(duplex) door leaving a well made rectangular hole in the door.(a four panel door). Big enough to crawl through. The neighbor two houses down apparently also was broken into with the same rectangular hole, this time a smaller hole was left. This burglary took place in the afternoon time between 1:00-3:00. A witness saw 3 people running from home as the alarm went off. Described get away car as possible  Gray Chevy with big rims.   If this has happened to anyone in your area please let contact Renee Sykes our Neighborhood Services Coordinator (rsy...@oaklandnet.com ph: 238-7929), so we can alert nearby neighbors as to where the activity is happening. These burglars may look like they could be fixing someones door.  This is a very common method used to break-in. So watch carefully!! Get a good description of anyone looking suspicious and a license number of any suspicious vehicles nearby. Please alert your nearby neighbors to call 911 in any event that looks suspicious to you!   Home Burglaries are on the rise and occur during the day when most people are at work. Be Alert!
