Stranger with an umbrella asking for money

Hello,

Around 5pm today (Sunday, April 11th), an elderly African American man rang our doorbell asking for money to pay for a locksmith. He claims he lives at 2917 Morgan Avenue. My husband and I thought it was rather suspicious and wanted to know if he had approached anyone else about this and if he actually lives nearby.
