Dear Area 2 Community,

In the past three weeks, we have been experiencing a surge in armed

robberies, occurring primarily in beats 17X, 17Y, 18Y and 19X.  We are

committed to apprehending these criminals, and are enlisting your help.

Please report all suspicious and criminal activity.  We need witnesses to

help us catch these criminals.  The following is information we have thus

far:

The suspects are operating as a pair.

Suspect 1:        Male black, 20-30yrs, 6’0 180 – 220lbs

                        Typically dark pants, dark hooded jacket

Suspect 2:        Male black, late teens – early 20’s, 5’7” - 6’2” (2nd

suspect may vary)

                        Typically dark pants, dark hooded jacket

They approach their victims on foot as they are exiting their vehicles or en

route from vehicle to residence and vice versa.  Often, the victims are

removing items from their car.  They are most active between 10 and 11pm.

We believe the suspects are lying in wait or following their victims.  No

vehicle has been noted as of yet.

One or both suspects are armed.  Personal safety is of paramount importance.
