Hi,

I have moved my GM 4.00.9393 to a new hard drive by installing the program
fresh and then moving my database files over. It's a LAN installation
(C:\Apps\GoldMine...). However, some things are still not incorporated,
which I suspect is because I neglected to copy over my previously existing
C:\Apps\GoldMine\Common files (and perhaps other things, too).

All I copied over were our database folder and files, and our custom
Reports.

Everything in the following is showing up okay in the new installation at
present:

Records
Org chart.
Notes tab
Contacts tab
Profiles tab
Referrals tab (switching ok)
History tab
Links tab (launching ok)

What is NOT there, however, is the following:

F2 lookup lists show Demo choices only (for Primary fields and new
Profiles).
Fields tab has Demo fields and views only.
Pending tab is completely empty.

File - Configure GoldMine - Custom Views shows Demo views only.

File - Configure GoldMine - Custom Fields shows all of my custom fields.

I already manually updated the following information before I realized I
still had to copy over some previous files (I'd like to keep what I just
entered in for these things, but can redo it if needed):

Users' Master File - Properties and Preferences.
Toolbar for User1.
License Manager. (If I am going to have to redo this because I need to copy
over files that will bring in the previous information, I'd like to know how
to modify my Registration e-mail address in the previous files.)

If copying only some of the Common files will give me what's missing and
keep what I recently entered manually, I'd much prefer to do that.

I'm not sure if there's anything else I should be addressing or noticing
that I might be overlooking. I would be very grateful if you would please
take a few moments to give me a thorough reply. I have more time and money
invested in -- and depending on -- our customization of GoldMine that just
about any company you have as a customer.

THANK YOU!
