bwcc.dll and dewcc.dll missing

We've had problems with clients who get missing fields and empty windows for
records. The KB suggests making sure there is only one copy of bwcc.dll and
dewcc.dll in the goldmine or windows directories. These dlls don't exist on
the server anywhere so what is goldmine using?

These are GoldMine 95 (version 3.2) files and are not used in GoldMine 4.0.
The knowledge base topics should have the version showing that it is only
for GoldMine 95.

ah, that was a dumb mistake on my part. Well, the question now is what is
causing the missing fields and empty windows. It is intermittent on certain
clients who run win98. It is probably a windows problem but I was wondering
if there are any established problems like this for gm 4?

Assuming that you are logged in with Master rights, which fields are
missing? Which windows? It could be that your fields.* files have
become damaged.
