deleting email from server

Some of our employees use Goldmine as an email client with Exchange Server
as the email back end. When they get their mail and read it (or delete it),
the email remains on the server, and the next time they go to retrieve it,
they get the new messages as well as the old ones (even the ones they
deleted). We do have the "delete retrieved mail from server" checked. People
using Outlook as an email client, don't have the same problem. So it is a
Goldmine issue. Any suggestions. Please email me direct at
