Frank,

The best way to send a large number of messages is to merge an e-mail
message or template to your filter or group and queue the messages for later
delivery. This is done when you create an e-mail message, and not from an
Automated Process. Queueing the messages creates all the messages
immediately and places them in the Outbox in the E-mail Center. If you use
this in combination with automatic email retrieval GoldMine will send queued
the messages when it checks for new messages on the server. If any messages
are not sent because of a limit of the mail server, then GoldMine will
attempt to send the remaining ones the next time it checks for new messages.

Automated Processes can be used to send e-mail messages as well, but there
is no control over when the message will be sent (other than how many days
into the future) and how often.

Please don't cross-post the same question to more than one newsgroup.

Thanks

I placed a f/u all to tech supprt on this and they said that if the ued
mail attempted to be sent and couldn't be sent because of a server limit
per transmission as an antispam measure gmine would not resend those in que
that didn't go the first time...is this correct..if so your suggestion
doen't seem to solve my problem...please clarify...

Frank,

A message that is queued to be sent by GoldMine will remain queued until
GoldMine sucessfully sends it to your mail server. If the message is not
successfully sent to the mail server then it will remain in the Outbox
folder of the E-mail Center.

This means that if your mail server stops accepting messages, GoldMine will
still have the remainder of the messages queued.

And remember, your isp placed this limit for a reason. You may be able to
get around this limit, but the issue remains that your isp does not wish
large number of messages to be sent, and whatever we think of to get around
the limit, they can probably block if they wish.

Okay Greg....how will I know if the isp still blocks the outbound
messages...will it be that they still stay stuck in the que? I just want to
make sure that if there is a problem I kow about it...

I have to tell you the other tech told me (perhaps by mistake...don't have
his name) that once they are not successfuly sent by isp
I lose it)...I'm going to try your approach thought...thank you

Frank

Frank,

I am not able to say what your isp does with messages once they are
successfully sent to the mail server. All I can say is that messages not
sent to the mail server will remain in GoldMine's Outbox. You can try
queuing a message and then pull the phone cord before sending it to the
server. The message will remain in the Outbox, because GoldMine could not
send it.
