Can an AP be created to change the record ownership? We have a sync
scenario where this would be very helpful. We sync records to the remote
offices on a daily basis, a total of about 50 records as appointments for
each office. Each office completes the appointments remotely and the
results are sync'd back to the corporate office. Some of the appointments
turn into 'Clients' and some don't. We want the ability to delete from the
remote site only all the records that did not become clients. We must keep
the records in the corporate database for reporting and marketing efforts.
If we could change the ownership of the record then the remote office would
not even know it existed. However, if there are other, more eloquent
methods, we are very open to suggestions.

Any info on this topic is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Troy,

An AP can be used to update any field, including owner, assuming the user
who is logged in has access to that field.

Another option is to use a delete filter to remove contacts that did not
become customers from the remote sites. The delete filter will remove the
contacts from the remote sites, but not the central database.
