"Killer" Automated Process Support Idea

I have an idea on how Goldmine SW can provide enhanced support for
automated process. I'd like to see Goldmine offer a download and upload
section of the web where people can share automated processes. APs are an
extremely powerful tool that most end user companies and many resellers are
not harnessing (for better company support and increased profits).

I propose it work like this- before uploading an automed process the
contributing uploader would be required to fill out a web form that
provdies good documentaiton for the process. Each submitter would pick or
describer briefly what the AP does so it is listed on the web for review.

I don't expect Goldmine tech support to support these APs (at least not by
phone)...if the company has a concern about increased support they could
put a disclaimer on the site saying we won't support these...or if they
could be supported thorugh this forum that would be great.

I read that APs can be synced between copies of Goldmine...but I don't know
how we could upload the aps to the web....I guess the ap could be documente
don thr web but not uploaded but that would not be as good.

If you folks at Goldmine don't like the idea, I'd consider making them
available through my own web site. What do you Goldmine think of this idea
and what do other users think of it?

I'd love it. I'm sure that anyone who works this program would appreciate
the amount of time it would save.

Frank,

It certainly would be great for others to benefit from the APs built by
others. People may expect support for these APs if GoldMine Software hosted
something like this.

After spending the last 3 months or so building (and debugging) AP's... I
love the idea.

I understand the support point....but if GM makes it very clear that these
aps are being provided as aa service but goldmine does not support
them...would you consider that?

So, looks like everyone likes the idea, Goldmine tech support...Will
Goldmine provide this to us as we're requesting...let me know either
way...if you will not let me know how I can provide this from a web site I
build...what I don't know how to do is provide accessing to everyone since
the ap is embedded in the database...although you can sync aps between
databases how do you do this with the internet distribution approach I have
requested?
