can't find sent emails

Testing an AP that sends e-mails. I saw the e-mails go out, even got
undeliverable replies on a few, yet there does not seem to be any history of
the e-mails going out - even in my sent folder.

I have modified the AP to write a history record but I'm still puzzled as to
why the sent e-mails don't show up in my sent folder.

Any answers will be appreciated.

When you are in the properties of the event for the send email event, click
the options button in the "action" section. Click to the "File in history"
tab, and select the option to "create history record."
