Către Dna. Decan a Facultății de Medicină din cadrul U.M.F. "Carol Davila",

Dear Dean of Faculty of Medicine, U.M.F. “Carol Davila”,
I am attaching the Request Letter for approving my graduation thesis title and coordinator. I have also submitted it to the Faculty Secretariat on the 30th of January 2014, at 1:00 PM, as required by the institution. However, I have not received a registration number or any written proof for my submission, even though I have asked for it.
Due to the fact that I have not seen any information about this on the official site of the University nor anywhere else, please give me the deadline for your response on the present Request Letter. Being that I have not been given any response to any of my previous emails, if you do not reply within the next 3 working days, I will consider that the Dean’s Office is not available for open discussions with the students.
Respectfully,
Loredana Cîrstea.

Către Dna. Decan a Facultății de Medicină din cadrul U.M.F. "Carol Davila",
“Carol Davila”

Dear Dean of the Medical Faculty of U.M.F. “Carol Davila”,
I am writing to inform you about the title of my graduation thesis: “Algorithm of translation in the Romanian language for the Terminologia Histologica and APIs for a controlled vocabulary”, under self coordination.
I was not able to submit the standard application at the Faculty Secretariat - with the graduation thesis title and the name of my coordinator -, due to the impossibility of finding a coordinator from the two disciplines interested: “Cellular and Molecular Medicine. Human Development Medicine” and “Marketing, Technology and Medical Informatics”. I will not bother you with sending my discussions with the members and heads of these disciplines, due to the fact that you did not respond to my previous emails. I will send these to the U.M.F. “Carol Davila” Rector, along with the proposal to coordinate my own thesis, in the absence of a capable and interested university member.
Respectfully,
Loredana Cirstea,

Catre Dna Decan a Facultatii de Medicina din cadul U.M.F. "Carol Davila", Prof.Univ.Dr. Doina Plesca,
Atasez scrisoarea in acest mail. Atasez pozele celor doua doamne.Multumesc,Loredana Cirstea.

Following the transparency protocol of the Sapiens Mapping Project, I am notifying you of the submission of a letter addressed to you, at the Dean's Office. I have attached the letter in this email. Also, I want to inform you that the office ladies in the Dean's Secretariat did not want to give their names and job titles. I have photographed two of them, with the clear mention that I will erase the photographs if they will comply with their legal responsibility and reveal their names and job titles. They do not fulfill their duties to the institution, putting its transparency and credibility to risk, by refusing personal responsibility. Therefore, I expect written apologies from them or their job termination. In addition, please send me their names and official titles of their jobs. I attach the two photographs.Thank you,Loredana Cirstea.2013/10/24 Loredana Cirstea <loredana...@gmail.com>
Catre Dna Decan a Facultatii de Medicina din cadul U.M.F. "Carol Davila", Prof.Univ.Dr. Doina Plesca,
In plus, regulile proiectului Sapiens Mapping Project impun o colaborare electronica, transparenta. Cu respect,Loredana Cirstea, SMPEnglish translation:Dear Dean of the Medical Faculty of U.M.F. “Carol Davila”, Prof.Dr. Doina Plesca,I am sorry to bother you with another email, however, the rules for being accepted for an audience with you have made it impossible for me to do that. I wanted to speed up the decision making process, through the intent of personally presenting myself.
Unfortunatelly, the policy for requesting an audience, combined with neverending waiting lines at the faculty secretarial office, makes it impossible for me to contact you in due time. In addition, the Sapiens Mapping Project rules impose a transparent, electronic collaboration. Therefore, I ask of you to give me an answer using the email, as soon as possible. In case you have questions, I will gladly explain.

Catre Dna Decan a Facultatii de Medicina din cadul U.M.F. "Carol Davila", Prof.Univ.Dr. Doina Plesca,
Sunt Loredana Cirstea, student in anul VI in cadrul U.M.F.
Eu doresc propunerea unei traduceri in limba romana a Terminologiei Histologica si publicarea acesteia in format "baza de date", accesibil online si pe aplicatiile mobile, gratuit.
http://www.ifaa.net/index.php/fipat
http://sliced.ro/smp/ontology.php#browse
In aceste conditii, contributia mea va consta in:
1. o traducere personala in limba romana a termenilor

Dear Dean of the Medical Faculty of U.M.F. “Carol Davila”, Prof.Dr. Doina Plesca,
This is Loredana Cirstea, a 6th year student at U.M.F. "Carol Davila", General Medicine. I am writing in regard to my graduation thesis subject, as suggested by Asst.Prof. Mihnea I. Nicolescu (Discipline: Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Human Development Medicine).
After graduation I will work in the medical and computer science research fields and that is why another type of subject for my graduation thesis will not be of real use. Your written approval to use the following subject in my graduation thesis is necessary to prevent any problems that might occur due to the “authenticity” of the subject. In general, students use different types of subjects.
I want to propose a Romanian translation of the Terminologia Histologica and publish it in database
format, with online and free data access, and also on mobile apps. This proposal is also part of the Sapiens Mapping Project ( http://sliced.ro ), an international volunteering project, in which we want to index medical information in an accessible, algorithmic way, very easy to follow.
The project maintains contact with Prof. Sprumont (IFAA member and FIPAT Secretary:
http://www.ifaa.net/index.php/fipat
- a program which maintains and evaluates Terminologia Anatomica, Histologica and Embryologica). He gave us the data for the three terminologies and his approval for making them public and free, online and as mobile apps.
This is how I found out that Romania does not have an official translation of the three terminologies. I have made a first draft of the Romanian translation of Terminologia Anatomica last year, that awaits correction from an educated person (in this field), preferably IFAA member. It can be seen here: (select the Romanian language from settings - last button, right inferior corner)
http://sliced.ro/smp/ontology.php#browse
I will also make a draft for Terminologia Histologica and Embryologica for the aforementioned project. In this circumstances, I want your approval of using this work in my graduation thesis. At the present time, I intend on using the Terminologia Histologica in the thesis, although I ask you to extend your permission to any of the three terminologies, so I will not use anymore of your time if I happen to face difficulties.
In this conditions, my personal contribution will be:
1. a personal Romanian translation of the terms
2. I will present past Romanian translations of each term (with bibliographical references)
3. I will link every latin word to it’s various Romanian translations, through an index
4. with 3. , I will create an algorithm for a semi-automatic translation of the terms, in case of future changes in the terminologies.
5. I will make a final proposal of a Romanian translation, supervised by my chosen coordinator and I will publish it in the digital format I talked about earlier.
I want to tell you why it is so important to have a correct, official, available online terminology. Nowadays, the Internet (created with the precise goal of facilitating scientific research) is an environment of intellectual confusion or marketing. We want to begin with the first step: correct medical terms, which can be accessed separately, through an individual link, from the official source. In other words, anyone who wants to use a specific term will be able to offer a direct link to the official source, eliminating the fear of incorrectness of information. In addition, any change of information will not affect those who have used the link. Imagine this concept extended to all scientific information.
I send you a link to our Terminologia Histologica terms, which await processing:

Moreover, I will add Mr. Christian Tzurcanu, Project Leader for SMP, in the recipient list.
