Support for SIRI/NeTEx

I have just discovered this project and I was wondering if supporting SIRI/NeTEx has ever been discussed.

I personally never looked at it. Is there any publicly available trip
planner that uses this?

Entur is currently working on NeTEX/Siri support for OTP2 (see https://github.com/opentripplanner/OpenTripPlanner/tree/dev-2.x?files=1)

For OTP1, we started a provider (currently stale) at https://github.com/mfdz/public-transport-enabler/tree/provider-otp

The Italian government is now working on publishing every region's public transport as NeTEx, not GTFS. See https://github.com/public-transport/transitous/issues/117 -> https://nap-1926.it/nap/mmtis/public/catalog/Dataset. Their coverage is already quite complete (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/fabrizio-arneodo-7634564_nap-mmtis-trasportopubblico-activity-7163589754071072768-fixo).

Hi Héctor,
ENTUR uses OpenTripPlanner 2 with NeTEx (Nordic Profile).  Not sure how close the Italian feeds are to the Nordic profile.
You could try to convert the NeTEx feed into GTFS e.g. using https://github.com/entur/netex-gtfs-converter-java.

Regarding Public-transport-enabler, I assume it will not support NeTEx/Siri directly but only routing services which might use these formats.

Regarding PTE's OTP support, I'm not up-to-date. Our former initiative stalled.
