Hey all,
I'm personally very excited to be leading the discussion on Monday March 14th around a topic that is dear to my heart: Appropriate Medical Technology.
The article attached entitled
Appropriate medical technology for perinatal care in low-resource countries is a fascinating one, and details some of the work of PATH, the Programme for Appropriate Technology in Health. I went to visit PATH's headquarters in December in Seattle, and I'm excited to share with you the work of PATH, and the concept of appropriate medical technology. I hope also to have a discussion on "what makes medical technology appropriate", and "what goes into the process of user-centered design".
Have a wonderful week and I will see you all Monday!
