Hi UBC-UAEM and Public Health Journal Club,

I'm writing to pass on this very exciting opportunity to work with former UBC-UAEM founder and overall superstar, Dr. Patricia Gabriel (woo!) on a refugee health project this summer.  Please see details below.  She is cc'd on this e-mail.

Cheers!

Hello Everyone,

I am currently looking for a part time research assistant for my research study in refugee health.

The research assistant should be a bilingual or trilingual individual in English and Farsi, Arabic, or Somali. This is a part time two month position involving facilitation of focus group sessions and research participant recruitment.  The research assistant will work from home and at the New Canadian Clinic in Burnaby and the hours are very flexible.  There are more details in the attached job description.

This would be an excellent opportunity for a student looking for experience in research or family/community medicine.

Please forward this job description widely to anyone that you think might be interested.

Many thanks,
Patricia
