Slow connection

Hello

I am from Israel, and using Win_XP_SP3, after configure the DNS to
8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 my connection just become slower

Maybe these DNS is only for US population?

Please advice

The Google Public DNS system is deployed worldwide, but speed will vary based on your distance from a Google Datacenter.  If you feel comfortable, could you provide more feedback on what you mean by slower (resolution time, browsing speed, etc).  In addition, could you provide traceroutes to GOogle Public DNS?
