55-60ms from Greece

Just reporting from Greece. 55-60ms is quite fast but much slower than
the 20ms of my provider's DNS. I wouldn't expect anything faster
though.
Nice move, Google!

In addition to the ping time, there's also the average resolve time.  

For example, if your ISP has a ping time of 20 ms, but mean time to resolve is 1 second, while Google Public DNS has a resolve time of 500 ms, but responds to everything in 1 ms, then the delay you feel will be:
Your Resolver: 1.02 seconds
Google Public DNS: 501 ms.

I doubt your resolver is that bad (hopefully :) ), but in the meantime, do try some comparative queries to see which is faster.  In the meantime, we'll work on our end to get the product closer to you all!
