I'm using the thunderbird webmail and webmail-hotmail extensions to
read and send hotmail. I also use thunderbird to read my gmail. All
mail comes through the POP server from hotmail (and imap from gmail),
but when I try to send from my hotmail account I get an error:
"Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because
connecting to SMTP server localhost failed. The server may be
unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your
SMTP server setting is correct and try again, or else contact your
network administrator."
I believe this just started happening after I switched to using google
public dns.
