Hello Nathan,

Before investigating any further, could you confirm that you can get a DNS response from Google Public DNS?

Could you do the following in your machine and report back here?

On Windows:

nslookup -debug www.google.com. 8.8.8.8

On Mac and Linux:

dig @8.8.8.8 www.google.com.

The trouble shooting page might be helpful to you.

Thanks.

Hello Nathan,

Could you report here or send me a private e-mail including these information? I do understand that exposing your external IP can be sensitive. If that's the case, send it to my e-mail address.

- Your external IP.
- The result of a ping to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
- traceroute for a few more tries to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Thanks.

It doesn't seem to be a DNS problem. Your ping/tracert to google.com
failed because the OS chose an IPv6 address, and the failure of "ping
bing.com" because the latter does not respond ping. The RTT to 8.8.8.8
(49ms) is good.
