Dear Inner Circle,
This is a rather small group (we have a different mailing list of 730) that I think of as the inner circle of Public Invention---the people who are friends rather than people we market to.
I want to remind you once again that Thursday night at 8:00 pm central time we are having our annual awards ceremony and Gala. We have a famous speaker this year, Dale Dougherty, who is a good public speaker. He founded Maker Faire. (There is a visual card attached, but Google Groups may not let it through.)
We will be honoring the volunteers who have spent many, many hours selflessly working on humanitarian invention ideas without compensation (in some cases, some people got paid for somethings, like our NASA work.) I would really like to have a lot of people present as a show of support and strength. I am going to work very hard to produce an interesting presentation in addition to Dale's talk.
