Public Invention is hosting another conference on Friday May 21st, at 8:00 AM PST.

The title is: Respicon: Respiration Support Invention Conference

It will be a short conference, 2 hours long, with 2 tracks: a technical track that will be mostly demos and a policy making track that will have (I hope) very interesting panel discussions. We will have more involvement from European organizations (I hope) than in our previous conferences.

The conference will accomplish several important purposes, but one of them is making three important announcements to the world from Public Invention:

1. The public kick-off of the "The Freespireco Project: A complete, free-libre open-source, easily repairable, widely usable, safe and effective respiration ecosystem" https://github.com/PubInv/freespireco.
2. Major progress on our PolyVent ventilator system: https://gitlab.com/polyvent/polyvent

And, finally, announcing the VentMon T0.4, which we are giving away free of charge (we made 15 and have given away 6 now.)  I was very honored to get this email (below) from Ajit Lahori in India after his use a VentMon requesting another. It is the tightest proof that our work is actually saving lives that we have yet received:

Greetings 

Ventmon is helping us tremendously.Thank you very much for sending the same. We were able to dispatch and install a few ventilators free of cost to a small charitable hospital here in India. As covid infections are rising heavily, we are trying our best to supply maximum machines to the needy and hospitals which don't have life saving equipment. This is going to save many lives.

We have one more office down south of India where we have just started manufacturing ventilators .As we have only one ventmon, we are not able to speed up delivery of Machines.

Is it possible for you to send one more VentMon? This will really help us saving more and more lives, especially in the areas where people cannot afford to go for a treatment which is expensive.

I would really appreciate if you can send one more unit. Looking forward to hearing from you.
