to PubCrawler Announcements
Some users might have experienced conflicting numbers over the last
few days in the amount of hits announced in the notification and the
actual results page.
This was due to network changes at our university, which led to
frequent failures to connect to NCBI.
In some cases, the first connection made by PubCrawler established a
number of hits that were new, but then the second connection for
retrieval of those failed. Unfortunately, there was no mechanism in
place to deal with this.
However, in the next results page, the missing hits will be accessible
through hyperlinks at the bottom of each query section in a format
like the following: MORE: 7-day-old records for 'query1' (16).
Clicking on the number in brackets will produce those hits, even if
they didn't show up in the previous results page due to connection
errors.
PubCrawler has now been adjusted to work with the changed network
settings.
Apologies for any inconveniences this might have caused!
