Este Simposio Internacional, el tercero de una serie comenzada en 2012, explora los beneficios del trabajo colaborativo de investigación aplicada en el ámbito urbano entre tres disciplinas: Diseño, Historia y Ciencias Sociales. En este marco institucional y geográfico intercontinental equipos de tres universidades identifican las huellas del futuro en la ciudad actual, signos que indiquen formas innovadoras de pensamiento y prácticas que encaran las principales vulnerabilidades sociales y ambientales de las tres ciudades: Bangkok, Buenos Aires y Nueva York.
PROGRAMA
23 de mayo, 19hs: Inauguración de la Muestra "La FADU y el Desarrollo Social", sala Baliero, FADU, UBA. Una parte de esta muestra fue expuesta del 11 al 25 de abril 2013 en el Consulado Argentino en Nueva York.
27 de mayo, de 9.30 a 19hs: Sesión Pública del Simposio Internacional "Transformaciones y Anticipaciones Urbanas: Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Nueva York", sala de Teleconferencias.
- 09:30-11:00hs: Apertura y presentación del Programa Diseño y Desarrollo

11:15-13:15hs: Sesión Transformaciones. Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Nueva York. Cambios sociales y urbanos, problemas y desafíos.
- 15:00-17:00hs: Sesión Anticipaciones. Bangkok, Buenos Aires, Nueva York. Políticas, programas y proyectos.
- 17:15-19:00hs: Mesa de discusión Las disciplinas del diseño y las ciencias sociales: Construcciones complejas para la investigación aplicada.
28 de mayo, de 9 a 18hs: Taller Meandro (ejercicios proyectuales en la Villa 21-24). Participarán profesores de las tres universidades, y estudiantes del GPIA, The New School, y de la FADU, UBA. Se requiere inscripción previa*.
29 de mayo, de 10 a 13hs: Sessión pública de cierre con mesa de decanos del Mercosur; y Anuncio del ganador de la convocatoria "La FADU y el Desarrollo Social", sala de Teleconferencias.

This International Symposium, the third in a series of convenings that began in 2012, explores the benefits of collaborative work of applied research on urban areas between three disciplines: Design, History, and Social Sciences. In this institutional and geographical exchange, teams from three universities identify the footprints of the future in the present city, signs that indicate innovative forms of thought and practice that face the main social and environmental vulnerabilities of the three cities: Bangkok, Buenos Aires, and New York.
PROGRAM
23 of May, 7:00pm: Opening of the Exhibition "FADU and Social Development", Baliero Room, FADU, UBA. Part of this exhibition was on display at the Consulate of Argentina in New York, April 11th-25th.
27 of May, 9:30am-7:00pm: Public Session of the International Symposium "Urban Transformations and Anticipations: Bangkok, Buenos Aires, and New York".

28 of May, 9:00am-6:00pm: Workshop on the "Meander" (design exercises on Villa 21-24). Participation of professors from the three universities, and students from SGPIA, the New School, and from FADU UBA. Previous inscription is required*.
29 of May, 10:00am-1:00pm: Closing session with Deans from Mercosur; Announcement of the winner from the Call "FADU and Social Development".
