Hi FRC Team participants of current and past,

I hope that you all are doing well. I miss you all!!  I pray that you all are doing well in school and pursuing your career dreams.  Now you see, college is no joke.  I know you all are feeling smart because you gained some knowledge. Well, you are smart. Remember, not to forget where you came from and to give back so others can walk in your shoes. That is what I was doing mentoring you all, along with the other mentors, these several years. I hope that you all are doing well. NEVER stop learning.

Greetings Teams:

Summer Camps: Does your team continue to have FIRST® fun in the off season by offering FIRST® LEGO® League summer camps?  If so, we'd like to hear from you!  Please complete this very short survey to tell us about the summer camps that you offer in your region, so we can learn more about these opportunities and work to support your efforts. When taking the survey, please write “team” in the “other” box to answer the “What is your role?” question.

2016 Season Pre-Registration: Teams can login to update their team profiles for the 2016 season in TIMS: https://my.usfirst.org/frc/tims/site.lasso, and new rookie teams can also pre-register at this time. Completing the pre-registration process now will allow you to register for events quickly when event registration opens in the fall!  As a reminder, both your Main (Lead Mentor 1) and Alternate (Lead Mentor 2) Contacts must complete the Youth Protection Screening process before your team can register for 2016 FRC competition events. The screening is valid for three years, however, if you were previously screened, you will need to login to your TIMS account to agree to this season’s Terms and Conditions, Consent and Release Form and the Youth Protection Program Policies. Once these three items have been checked, your screening status will be updated and displayed in your account.

STIMS is now open! We encourage your team members and their parent/guardians to login to apply to your team and complete the electronic Consent and Release form as soon as possible. Returning users may login using their existing credentials; new student users may create an account by clicking on the “new youth user” button on the login page: https://my.usfirst.org/stims/Login.aspx. Detailed information regarding the process is available here: http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/team-member-registration-process-overview.

2016 Stop Build Day: Mark your calendars! Stop Build Day will be Tuesday, February 23rd this upcoming season. This is a week later than usual due to the date of the 2016 Kickoff, which is January 9th.

Go Teams!
