Congratulations to Maryland teams!

Several Maryland teams have already competed at week 1-4 events and all have represented Maryland extremely well.  Special congratulations to the following teams:

Team 836:  Chairman' Award at the Palmetto Regional
Team 1629: Entrepreneurship Award and Pittsburgh Regional Winners

Also congratulations to team 2534 for advancing to the playoff rounds at their event.

Watching Regional Events

Watching how other events play Recycle Rush can provide valuable information teams can use to plan their strategies for upcoming events.  It is easier than ever to watch events with sites like BlueAlliance's Gameday that provide links to all webcast for any given week.

FIRST Stop Invitations

The Chesapeake Regional will once again be running the FIRST Stop program for invited guests and visitors to the event.  FIRST Stop allows guests to design a tour to fit their interest and learn about all FIRST programs.  The program utilizes our great student ambassadors to provide the tours and has been very well received over the last few year.  Teams are encouraged to send the FIRST Stop Invitation to anyone they would like to invite to the event including parents, sponsors, and other supporters.   Guests are encouraged to sign up here

Student Ambassadors

STUDENTS - The Chesapeake Regional is recruiting Student Ambassadors to welcome visitors to our FRC Regional competition and show them around our competition venue on Friday and Saturday (April 3 &4).

If you have students who enjoy meeting and talking with folks about FIRST, the competition, and their own robotics experiences, we would love to have them as Student Ambassadors!  No experience is required – there will be a short training session on Thursday of competition from 2-3:30 PM in Heritage Hall.  At that time, students will be given the opportunity to sign up for a time slot on Friday, Saturday, or both days.

Our Student Ambassadors have received compliments each year from our visitors and we are successful only with your team’s help.

Please register prospective Student Ambassadors here.

Thank you very much!
