All,
I received this info from another Montext site I subscribe to:

I am writing to let everyone know that WPEngine.com, the hosting provide that Montext uses for our network of properties, is currently offline due to a large scale DDoS attack on one of their 3rd Party datacenters in the United States, which is causing downtime for a subset of customers.
More info and ongoing status updates here: https://wpenginestatus.com/intermittent-connectivity-issues-in-one-us-datacenter-9/
To see a real-time global visualization of the attack, visit this site: http://www.digitalattackmap.com/#anim=1&color=0&country=ALL&list=0&time=16802&view=map
This attack started at 9:45AM CST yesterday and resumed at 1:14AM CST today.  A DDoS attack uses multiple computers and Internet connections to flood the targeted resource. DDoS attacks are often global attacks, distributed via botnets.
There are many types of DDoS attacks. Common attacks include the following:
Traffic attacks: Traffic flooding attacks send a huge volume of TCP, UDP and ICPM packets to the target. Legitimate requests get lost and these attacks may be accompanied by malware exploitation.
Bandwidth attacks: This DDos attack overloads the target with massive amounts of junk data. This results in a loss of network bandwidth and equipment resources and can lead to a complete denial of service.
Application attacks: Application-layer data messages can deplete resources in the application layer, leaving the target's system services unavailable.
To this end, we are confident that the integrity of all Montext properties have not been affected and absolutely no customer data was stolen.  The attack is simply blocking WP Engines' 3rd party datacenter from accessing the internet.  It is not clear if this attack is associated in any way with the DDoS attack that brought down the BBC 48 hours ago.
Please let me know if you have any questions.  We will be sending out communications to customers and leads today.  I will also let you know when we are live again.
Happy New Year.

Thanks for sharing, David. I had also PM'd Matt Margolis on SA, another Montext analyst, and he said Wall Street Forensics is still active and it's just down because of a DDoS attack.

Now whether PTT's forums comes back online with the rest of the Montext family remains to be seen, but we can at least say it wasn't PTT specific. Although considering this very Google Group exists for the contingency that the chord gets pulled on PTT it was a fair assumption yesterday.
