I tried posting this message earlier but it didn't work. So here were
go again. Julia called just before bed check. She said today they
traveled the the Notre-Dame cathedral and she said it was the most
beautiful things she has ever seen. The Mona Lisa wasn't so bad
either. They tried escargot and frog legs and my vegetarian daughter
actually liked it. I also got the scoop on the trilling repelling
incident. Apparently, when Julia was at the top ready to repel down, a
gust of wind caught her and knock her off the castle. She was hanging
upside down, terrified. The instructor told her to let go (Julia said
absolutely not) but talked her into righting herself and she made it
down safely. Gabby caught the whole thing on tape but not with either
one of their own video camera. They have it all on Ian's camera so let
Ian know I want a copy. I told her I can't wait to hear all about it
on Saturday. She asked what day it was and when I told her it was
Monday she was very disappointed that they only have less than a week
left. They have all become very close. There is our update for Monday,
June 25th.

Thank god she is ok. Good to no Ian can use his camera because he hasn't tried the phone!! Haha!
Hope he went off the side of the mountain he can be a little afraid of heights so it will interesting to find out if he did or not. If anyone thinks to ask their kids when they call if Ian went down to wall I would love to know! Obviously I have given up on a call! I know he is safe and having a great time so I'm good! That's y I sent him!

Ian went down!  I think only one or two did not. I have a great picture of Ian.  Although many are missing their own beds, they are also sad this is coming to an end so soon.

Julia called right before their bed check. They saw the Notre-Dame
cathedral and she described it as the most beautiful thing she has
every seen. The Mona Lisa wasn't too shabby either. For dinner they
tried escargot and frog legs. My teenage vegetarian tried it and
actually loved it. I finally got the scoop on her dare devil move
while repelling the castle. Apparently while waiting her turn at the
top, a gust of wind came up, she lost her balance and fell off. Thank
God she was tied but now she was hanging upside down. With
instructions from the instructor she was able to right herself and
make it down the wall. All this was caught on tape by Gabby but not
with either one of their video cameras. I guess Ian has it on his
camera. I told her to tell Ian that we need a copy. Julia tells it
much better than I do. She asked what day it was and when a I told her
she became upset that they only had less than a week left. Well there
is your daily report for Monday, July 25th.
