Dear Sir/ Mdm,

SengKang CC has reverted back to me that they are not able to commit in the long run as their facilities are heavily utilised too.

I am still checking with Punggol Park CC, pending for their reply. I will update you again.

Thank you.

Hi Mr Dennis,

Patricia has given a very clear update about our club for your initial discussion with Seng Kang CC.

A few other queries you had in your discussion with me:
- we require a room that can hold 20-30 people for presentation purposes.
- A projector in the room is a great plus but not a necessity for every meeting
- as a public speaking interest group, we would gladly love to help the CC in areas which forward the culture in toastmasters and public speaking
- we only require a small cupboard space to leave behind our material/implements necessary for a meeting.
- our members hail from Hougang/Seng Kang/Punggol and as such, we are an interest group of this area.

We would gladly facilitate a meeting with the CC management to further clarify any concerns and queries about the club.

We look forward to a favorable reply from both you and Seng Kang CC in the coming weeks as we continue the heritage of a exciting club with keen and enthusiastic members looking to find a home of our own.

Best Regards,
Thiruchelvan

Dear Mr. Dennis Foo,

Good Afternoon.

We are an English Club and have at any time around 35 members and is an active club holding meetings twice a month.

Members of our club network with other clubs' members and attend Area, Division and District events.

Punggol TMC is a known club in Singapore for its Leaderships and Champion Speakers.

Its founder Patricia Lum is the recipients of the President's Citation Award from Toastmasters International.

She is the only two recipients in the 50 years of  TMs' history in Singapore.

Darren Tay, a law student, has won the Championship in the District Speech Contests and the Inter-Community Club Humourous Contests in his short stint with Punggol TMC.

We have provided MCs for various CC activities, namely CC open-house, sport events, bursary awards ceremonies and at CC dinners ( Chinese New Year dinners ) plus various activities outside CC.  I have personally MC for PA working with Kok Chek and Wendy Teo for its seminars.

At the same time, we have conducted Personal Grooming and Public Speaking classes for the public.

We have highlighted at one of our discussions with the CCMC that we would be most happy to continue with these services.

Lastly, we just need a room for our meeting for about 30 - 35 members twice a month from 7.00 to 9.30pm.

We would be happy to hold further discussions with your goodself together with the CCMC to better understand how we can work closer together.

Wiith our good track records, it would be a lost to Punggol CC to relocate us.

We thank you for your kind attention and look forward to your favourable reply.

Dear Ms Patricia,

Can you kindly provide me with some background information about the Toastmaster Club besides the club has been holding your monthly meeting for the past 12 years. Perhaps you can provide me with the following:

·         English or Mandarin Toastmasters Club?

·         How many members do you have?

·         Is the group active?

·         Any past community events that the club has participated in before for Punggol CC?

·         What does the group requires besides a room? (Able to house how many pax?)

·         Any other information that you would like to highlight?

Please kindly advise as this would aid me in highlighting your club to the CC.

Thank you.

Dear Mr. Dennis Foo,

We thank you for your email and apologies for the delay in replying as during this time our Exco met for discussion.

We are sadden to note that the Punggol community club has not taken our 12 years of our service into consideration when they transform the room for other uses.

Meanwhile, we could like to move on and appreciate your help in helping us connect with some of the ideal community clubs for our meeting.

Our first choice is SengKang CC, otherwise Punggol Park or Punggol 'vista would be a good choice too.

We appreciate your help and look forward to your good news soon.

Dear Ms Patricia,

I’m Dennis Foo, and we have checked with Punggol CC about the usage of the venue. However, the  venue will not be available as the CC needs to transform the room for other uses. Hence, we would try to check out with other CCs if they wish to adopt your toastmasters club.

Do you have any other CCs in mind? You can provide me with few options and I will try to check with them.

Please kindly advise and I can be contacted at 6238 2092 should you have further queries.

Thank you

Dear Mr. Philip Tan,

Thank you for taking my call this late afternoon.

Punggol TMC has been located at Punggol Community Clube, Hougang Avenue 6 for the past 12 years.

We have been very happy with the arrangement, however, the CC has now requested that we relocate.

We would appreciate if you could help us to maintain the status quo as our members are mostly from this residency.

We would be most happy to discuss with them and and work on a happy relationship.

Your help is most appreciated.
