Some good news.

We have fixed a joint meeting with Thomson TMC on the 13th August.

I am thankful we have the support of a TMC during this juncture.

Please see the mails below to see our conversation with them.

We have to make this first joint meeting a success to give Thomson members and ours the clear signal we are serious about Punggol TMC.

Looking for support and presence from all of you in this, which I am sure I will get :)

Will send an email to our members soon to fix appointments.

My proposal:

 

TMD = Punggol

SAA = Thomson ( since we know the venue + logistics better)

4 x speaker slots = 2 for Thomson. Names to be provided in due course

4 x evaluator = 2 for Thomson. Names to be provided in due course

Table Topics Master = Punggol

LE = Lynda Neo from Tampines Changkat (she agreed sometime back so it is only polite we keep to it)

GE = Someone from Thomson. (Reason : want to hear feedback from a senior Thomson member. I am thinking of Stanley Goh - subject to his avialability. Stanley are you OK ?)

Ah counter  = Punggol

Timer = Punggol

 

Much as I would like to strike a fair balance in  terms of contributions and repr from both clubs, it is hard to do so in one  meeting. Hopefully we have a second one and we can do a complete reversal so as to be fair and square. What to do you think ?

 

I woud suggest have 2  opening addresses by the two club presdients - each 2.5 min. Thomson as the host will start first to welcome Punggol. 

 

Not sure about closing address. Any suggestion ?

 

Which club will prepare the programme sheet ? May I suggest Punggol do it this round as I am not sure when my VPE, Nick Zhang will be back from China.  We will take over for next round.

 

Let's co-operate in the spirit of give and take. Let's make 13 Aug a really good one  so that we can have more joint meetings  including perhaps a joint club contest !
