Volunteering at the Samaritan House

[Leonardo Bolanes]

Hello all Phi Theta Kappa

this is Leo sending you all an e-mail about the volunteering oppurtunities at Samaritan House. I want to apologize first for not coming to the meeting this week. I thought it was today and realized that the conference room was empty. I was ready to introduce the process of registering at Samaritan House. To those who are interested in volunteering at the soup kitchens or any other area, please feel free to contact

Director of Volunteers, Michele Canning

The volunteering oppurtunities can be seen at the foloowing URL: http://www.samaritanhouse.com/new/donate_volunteer/volunteer.shtml

Anybody can volunteer in many different departments, such as a soup kitchen, clothes store, medical center, and more.

As I recall, we are looking one in San Mateo and we will probably volunteer at

Samaritan Family Kitchen

Serves hot meals Mon.-Fri., 5-6 pm, at Westside Church of Christ, 603 Monte Diablo Ave., San Mateo.
Phone (650) 347-3648

The volunteeer application is available to be submitted online but don't submit it yet! I was kind of hoping we would all agree if we want to do this first. Print out the application and fill it out and bring it next meeting. Any ideas or proposals for volunteering, other than the soup kitchens feel free to express themselves. See you then.

-Leo
