To all,

Hi there. I'm new to the group and software. Currently using the PRO TRIAL and have found some success with front and back images from my IPIX days. They are very low rez and nearly unusable.

I used my 8mm fisheye and SONY a7r2to increase resolution and had great success in aligning images and much sharper 360 image.

The final image file displays well but I was looking for controls to turn of the TILT and limit the image to LEFT and RIGHT scrolling only.

Is this possible and where might the controls be to do this.

Is there a ZOOM function that can be enabled?

Thanks in advance

Joe

Hi Joe,

This should be configured in the panorama viewer, it's not something you
can change in the stitching process.

If you are using Publish to Website in PTGui, you could set the initial
field of view such that the entire height is visible. Then set the 'min
tilt' and 'max tilt' such that the user cannot move up or down. I think
you would need to find the right values by trial and error.

Or you could use a different viewer, I think there are panorama viewers
which perform a simple horizontal scrolling but you would need to do a
search for that.

Kind regards,

Joe, These options are available in the Publish to website feature on the Tools menu. Also, please see the PTGui FAQ at https://www.ptgui.com/faq#6_15

Thanks for getting back.

The web publishing allows the lock on tilt and works for the images I can create. I prefer this control over the image at this point. I will test shooting in the vertical format and see where this leads.

If the 360 jpeg is uploaded to FB for example it will display the entire sphere. Is there a button or parameter that controls or limits the tilt here as well?

Hi Joe,

As far as I know this cannot be controlled when publishing to Facebook;
they require a fully spherical image.

But with an 8mm fisheye on an A7R2 you should be able to capture a full
sphere easily.
