Feature Requests: Shortcut Improvements & Source Image Management in PTGui 13

Hi PTGui Team,

I recently purchased PTGui 13 Standard after testing the trial version. I am very impressed by its performance, processing speed, and stitching quality compared to Adobe Lightroom/Camera Raw.

As I work with high-volume panorama shoots, I noticed a few workflow bottlenecks regarding source image management and shortcuts. I would like to suggest the following enhancements:

1. Dedicated Shortcut for Excluding Images & Custom Keybindings

When shooting panoramas, I take multiple extra shots that sometimes introduce ghosting (e.g., duplicate moving subjects). Disabling these redundant images quickly is essential.

• Excluding Images Shortcut: I tried using the Ctrl + D shortcut to exclude/disable selected images in the editor and parameters window, but it did not work as expected. Having a direct Delete key shortcut to disable an image from the panorama would significantly speed up the culling process.

• Custom Keyboard Shortcuts: Currently, there is no option to remap hotkeys. Adding a Shortcut/Keybinding Customization System in Preferences would allow users to assign familiar keys (like Delete or X for excluding images) to fit their personal editing habits.

2. Enhanced Source Image Preview & Workflow Options

Inspecting details before stitching is currently a bit limited in the interface:

• Thumbnail Resizing: Adding a slider or zoom control to adjust thumbnail sizes in the Source Images panel would help identify problematic shots before running the alignment.

• RAW Developer & Crop Tab View Options: In the RAW Developer view, allowing direct image exclusion/disabling without having to navigate back to the main menu would streamline the prep process.

If any of these features already exist and I simply missed them, please feel free to guide me to the relevant tutorials or documentation so I can review them.

On Source Images tab as well as on Image Parameters tab, the thumbnail
size changes with column and row size. Just drag the rows wider and the
columns higher.

On Crop, Mask, Raw Preprocess and Control Points tab, drag the
horizontal divider below the thumbs.

As Erik said, you can change the thumbnail sizes by resizing the rows
and the first columns in the Source Images and Image Parameters tab.
Place the mouse on the the divider between two rows or columns, then
click and drag to resize.

I was able to locate and test the feature properly following your explanation. Everything works as intended now, and I can adjust the preview sizes as needed.

I really appreciate your quick support and guidance in helping me get familiar with PTGui.
