I bought PTGui with license and have been using for a month now.
Usually, I create the panos, process them in LightRoom, export as JPGs and upload them to my blog.
Starting today, I am having a problem:
After the pano is processed in LightRoom and exported to my hard disk, there is no issue.
When I upload the exported pano to my blog, a watermark is displayed  in the middle.

Has anyone else in this group had this problem?
How do I get over this issue?

Thanks
ssss

Hi sssss,

Sorry if I misunderstand, but the panorama from PTGui does not have a
watermark? Then what exactly is the problem you are having with PTGui?

Hi Joost,

Consider my workflow as:

            1) PTGui:  Create the panorama. No watermark added.
            2) LightRoom: Process and export as JPG. No watermark added.
            3) Blogger: Export the JPG in step 2 to my blog post. A watermark is displayed  in the middle of the panorama.

The problem is with step #3.

When I upload regular photos (not PTGui panos), no watermark is added in Blogger.
When I upload a panorama created by PTGui 2 weeks ago, no watermark is added in Blogger.
The problem in step #3 happens only with panoramas created using PTGui since yesterday.

I am also checking Blogger related issues and haven't found any solution.
Blogger is fine with non-panoram and older panoramas.

Thanks
ssss

If the image straight from PTGui isn't watermarked there is no way it
will be added later. Furthermore the watermark PTGui adds in the
unlicensed version is all over the image, not only in the middle. What
does the watermark say? Can we see it? Please provide a link!

Hi Erik,

The watermark is a graphic of a mountain on graphic of the world.
It is small at the center of the photo.
Here is a link to it:
                      Picture of the added watermark

Hi Matt,

It is happening only with panoramas created using PTGui since yesterday.
My  few weeks old PTGui panoramas don't have this issue.
My other non-panorama photos don't have this issue.
I don't know for sure this is a PTGui issue and that is the reason for seeking help.

Appreciate both your help.

The image is the Google Photo Sphere logo;

I don't know why you would only start seeing it now (or why it would be permanently there).  The only related thing I saw is for version 9.1.9 which adds the XMP required for Google to recognize the image is supposed to be a Photo Sphere.

Thanks for the response PanoWorks.

I did a Google Graphics search and figured out this symbol is for Google Photosphere.
I also verified that this issue exists only for Google products (Blogger, Picasa).
When I uploaded the same picture to FB, this symbol/watermark is not added.

I will go through your link and try to understand more.

What you are saying about version 9.1.9 is interesting.
Looks like PTGui is doing something for Google to recognize????
What I am creating is a panorama of more than 180 degrees.
May be PTGui is marking it as photosphere for Google???

Thanks.

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS why didn't you provide with your first "scream" a link to the pano or at least screen shot !

making here a long thread  of unnecessary  " guesswork"

Google recognizes  an equirectangular picture  as a panorama when "auto awesome" is enabled in your Google+ account

:) :) :) Problem resolved now, thanks to PanoWorks' comments.

This is from PTGui 9.1.9 release notes:-
" Furthermore PTGui now automatically adds Google Photo Sphere XMP metadata to all equirectangular images.
Google uses this metadata to recognize if an image is a spherical panorama:
if you upload an equirectangular image from PTGui to Google Plus it will be displayed in an interactive panorama viewer."

I looked at my Panorama Settings. For Projection, yesterday I had selected  equirectangular.
This setting should only be used for Spherical Panoramas.
Since my panorama is wide angle, now I use "Cylindrical"  projection.
With this setting, PTGui is not adding the Photo Sphere XMP described above within quotes.

Still, it would be good if PTGui provides a way to enable/disable this feature.
May be, it is there but I haven't figured it out yet.

Appreciate comments from Joost, Erik, Matt and PanoWorks.
It has been only few weeks with PTGui and I feel I am learning very fast.
Thanks guys.

Hi Willy,

My mistake. I should have provided the link with my first post!
Thanks for explaining the Google+ setting.

Best Regards.
